Is Open Access the way forward for scholarly publishing?

Posted on 20 May 2011, submitted by Miggie Pickton

What are your views on open access to scholarly work? Who should own the copyright of your research articles? Are you signing away your copyright without realising it? These are the issues that we wish to address in this national survey of attitudes to open access. This survey of staff and research students is running concurrently with similar surveys at other universities. Organised by the UK Council of Research Repositories, the surveys will collectively establish attitudes to open access nationwide and provide an evidence base for local and national support and policy development. The survey is available at https://survey.northampton.ac.uk/openaccess and will take only ten minutes of your time. Many thanks.
