Be a member of the largest volunteer force in England and the highest level of authority within a school.
A local primary school is looking to fill the role of school governor with a member of staff from the University. Commitment:
- 6-8 hours per month will allow
- 1 full governing body meeting per term
- Sub-committee (eg staffing, curriculum, finance)
- Preparatory reading.
Key requirements:
- Interest in raising standards of education.
- Ability to work in a team.
- Desire to help local community.
- A willingness to challenge assumptions.
- Enthusiasm!
