During the week beginning 16 July 2012, a number of road closures and access restrictions will be in operation at Park Campus due to the graduation ceremonies. A map of Park Campus has been created to highlight these closures.
The main campus roadway in front of John Clare Hall of Residence will be closed to all traffic, except for buses which will be taking graduands and guests to/from the ceremonies at the Royal & Derngate theatre (see red hatched area on attached map).
Drivers wanting to park in car parks 1-3 and 9-11 (for Cottesbrooke, Grendon, SU, Everdon, Thornby, Top Lodge & Sunley Conference Centre) should enter Park Campus by using the ‘Student Entrance’ on Boughton Green Road, nearest to Kingsthorpe. Drivers wanting to park in car parks 4-8 and 12-14 (for the rest of the campus) should use the ‘Staff & Visitors Entrance’ on Boughton Green Road, nearest to Moulton Park.
Vehicle access to the Holdenby Approach area and the road between Sulgrave and John Clare Hall (A & B blocks) will be restricted for the whole week (see blue hatched area on attached map). Drivers who normally park in this area are asked to relocate to other car parks for the week.
Deliveries for Holdenby will be redirected through the Senate barrier, with vehicles parking in car park 12, between Senate and Lamport. Car park 12 will therefore be closed for staff usage. Car park 4 will be used for graduands and guests who have pre-booked an accessible space.
