During August 2012, the main Park Campus roadway in front of John Clare Hall of Residence will be closed to all traffic in both directions due to construction work (see red hatched area on attached map), which will also require all bus services to be re-routed with temporary bus stops in operation within the main car park. The existing bus stops in front of, and opposite, the Student Centre will not be in use during this period.
Staff car users:
Drivers wanting to park in car parks 1-3 and 9-11 (for Cottesbrooke, Grendon, SU, Everdon, Thornby, Top Lodge & Sunley Conference Centre) should enter Park Campus by using the ‘Student Entrance’ on Boughton Green Road, nearest to Kingsthorpe. Drivers wanting to park in car parks 4-8 and 12-14 (for the rest of the campus) should use the ‘Staff & Visitors Entrance’ on Boughton Green Road, nearest to Moulton Park.
Student car users:
Drivers wanting to park in the main student car park (car park 3) should continue to enter Park Campus using the ‘Student Entrance’ on Boughton Green Road, nearest to Kingsthorpe.
Delivery drivers:
Deliveries for Holdenby should enter the campus via the ‘Staff & Visitors Entrance’ on Boughton Green Road, nearest to Moulton Park, and then go through the Senate barrier and turn onto the roadway between Sulgrave and John Clare Hall (A & B blocks).
Bus users:
As a result of the roadway closure, buses will not be able to use the bus stops in front of, or opposite, the Student Centre. All buses will have to enter the campus via the ‘Student Entrance’ on Boughton Green Road, near Sunley Conference Centre, and then use the temporary one-way bus lane through the main car park (car park 3) at the front of Park Campus. Temporary bus stops will be in operation in the main car park beside the Thornby building, which all buses will have to use (see modifications on attached map).
